{"id":3157,"date":"2026-06-29T17:59:25","date_gmt":"2026-06-29T09:59:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.petersonhk.com\/opportunities\/accountant\/"},"modified":"2026-06-29T17:59:25","modified_gmt":"2026-06-29T09:59:25","slug":"accountant","status":"publish","type":"opportunities","link":"https:\/\/www.petersonhk.com\/tc\/opportunities\/accountant\/","title":{"rendered":"Accountant"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Maintain general ledger integrity and ensure proper accounting treatments in accordance with applicable\u00a0 \u00a0accounting standards and company policies<\/li>\n<li>Perform month-end closing activities<\/li>\n<li>Review accounting vouchers of group companies<\/li>\n<li>Prepare monthly management reporting package (P&amp;L, balance sheet, cash flow) with variance analysis and commentary<\/li>\n<li>Assist in preparation of statutory accounts, tax schedules and supporting documents for regulatory filing<\/li>\n<li>Liaise with external auditors and internal stakeholders to coordinate audit requests<\/li>\n<li>Handle daily cashier functions including payment process (cheque \/ bank transfer), petty cash control and maintain payment records<\/li>\n<li>Maintain bank account administration (e-banking user access, signatory updates etc) and coordinate with banks on operational matters<\/li>\n<li>Assist in treasury dashboard and daily cash position reporting; monitor cash utilization and funding needs<\/li>\n<li>Support treasury management activities such as bank facility documentation<\/li>\n<li>Assist in the payment workflow project, including UAT and implementation<\/li>\n<li>Assist in the group restructuring project<\/li>\n<li>Provide ad-hoc support to other finance projects as assigned<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Accounting \/ Finance or related disciplines; professional qualification (e.g., HKICPA \/ ACCA \/ CPA) is preferred<\/li>\n<li>Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in financial reporting and accounting in a sizable organization<\/li>\n<li>Hands-on experience in month-end closing, reconciliations and management reporting<\/li>\n<li>Audit experience (external audit or audit coordination) is an advantage<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Personal Qualities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Strong analytical skills, self-motivated, fast &amp; keen learner and able to work independently<\/li>\n<li>Good team player and able to perform under tight deadlines<\/li>\n<li>Able to prioritize assigned duties effectively with good problem-solving and communication skills<\/li>\n<li>Positive attitude with good interpersonal and communication skills<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Technical Skills<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Proficient in MS Office applications software (strong in Excel; knowledge in Power BI is a plus)<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of FLEX Accounting system, FION and consolidation systems will be desirable<\/li>\n<li>AI knowledge and ability to apply AI tools to improve finance processes (e.g., reporting automation, data analysis, drafting narratives) with sound awareness of data confidentiality<\/li>\n<li>Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We offer an attractive compensation package, bank holidays, medical benefits, and paid examination leave to the right candidate.<\/p>\n<p>Interested candidates please send your detailed resume with your present and expected salary to <a href=\"mailto:recruit@petersonhk.com\">recruit@petersonhk.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Employment application data held by the Group will be treated in strict confidence and used only for recruitment purposes.
